What’s the role?

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will be a hard-working, experienced Sales Ledger / Credit Controller who is able to join the business and hit the ground running. You will be working for a successful group of companies as part of a small friendly team. You need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a determination to succeed.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily banking
     
  • Bank reconciliations
     
  • Cashbook posting
     
  • Allocating cash
     
  • Raising sales invoices and credit notes
     
  • Setting up new customer accounts
     
  • Applying/monitoring customer credit limits
     
  • Issuing monthly statements
     
  • Resolving customer queries
     
  • Chasing outstanding debt
     
  • Producing sales reports and debtors reports as part of month end management accounts as well as any other ad hoc reports required
     
  • Other accounting work within your ability

     
Your Background and Experience:
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified
     
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and costing processes
     
  • 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing business
     
  • Very commercially aware
     
  • Advanced Excel skills, competent in PowerPoint and Word
     
  • High accuracy and attention to detail is essential
     
  • Excellent time organisation with ability to meet tight deadlines
     
  • Ability to continue to learn and adapt in line with evolving business needs
     
  • Strong communication skills at all levels including non-Finance stakeholders
     
  • Team player with People Management skills
     
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset
     
  • Willing to work hard to progress within the Group as it further develops.
